AACC Academy Elections

The nomination period has closed for the upcoming Academy election, which will be held in May 2020. The following leadership positions will be filled in the upcoming election:

  • President-Elect 2020-21, who will serve a 1-year term followed by terms as President 2021-2022 and Past-President 2022–2023
  • Two Council Members, who will serve 3-year terms (2020–2023)
  • Three Nominating Committee Members, who will serve 2-year terms (2020–2022)

Please note—AACC Academy has adjusted its terms to mirror the AACC calendar, which means that terms will now span from AACC Annual Scientific Meeting to AACC Annual Scientific Meeting. Additionally, AACC Academy has moved to a single-candidate ballot for officers like AACC. Nominating Committee elections will remain competitive, though.

Academy fellows will receive instructions on voting via email in May 2020.

Nominations for the 2021 election will be accepted in October 2020.

AACC Academy Designation

Fellows of AACC Academy use the designation of FAACC. This designation is equivalent to FACB, the previous designation used by fellows of the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry, which became AACC Academy in 2016.
